Description

  • Own one or more integration domains end-to-end, including roadmap, architecture decisions, trade-offs, and delivery.
  • Architect and deliver microservice-based solutions for traditional and AI-native integrations across REST, GraphQL, streaming APIs, MCP, and LLM-powered automation.
  • Make system-level architectural decisions covering boundaries, API contracts, reliability targets, and build-versus-buy choices.
  • Lead technical direction for the domain and drive engineering rigor across quality, documentation, and secure coding practices.
  • Mentor engineers through design reviews, pairing sessions, and code reviews to grow their ability to own projects independently.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver robust, production-grade integrations that scale with the customer base.
  • Use AI tools and automation to accelerate design, development, testing, deployments, monitoring, and incident triage.
  • Build internal tooling and automation where it increases team leverage and efficiency.
  • Champion AI adoption across the team and help establish effective AI-assisted engineering workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of backend software development experience.
  • 3+ years in a Staff-level or tech lead role with domain ownership or team leadership.
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java.
  • Strong experience building and operating microservices in production.
  • Deep experience with API design and integration, including REST, GraphQL, streaming, LLM APIs, and embedding services.
  • Experience with secure API patterns such as OAuth, API keys, and rate limiting.
  • Strong background in distributed systems, message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ, or orchestration frameworks such as Celery or Airflow.
  • Regular, practical use of AI tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or ChatGPT to accelerate engineering workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to judge when AI output is trustworthy and when human expertise is needed.
  • Track record of mentoring engineers and improving team technical capability.
  • Excellent system design, debugging, and communication skills.
  • Preferred experience in cybersecurity domains such as SOAR, EDR, SIEM, or XDR.
  • Preferred hands-on experience with large-scale data processing, real-time pipelines, or event-driven architectures.
  • Preferred familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Preferred experience with AI-native integration patterns such as MCP, function calling, or agent orchestration frameworks.
