Description

  • Lead the technical direction of the team in initiatives focused on performance, resilience, and platform evolution.
  • Define and review the architecture of low-latency, high-scale services.
  • Work with other teams on routing, caching, CDN, and security strategies.
  • Ensure good practices in code quality, testing, observability, and production operations.
  • Support the development of a backend data product for an entertainment client.
  • Collaborate in the design and operation of distributed services and scalable systems.
  • Provide technical mentorship and support the development of other team members.

Requirements

  • Solid experience developing backend applications.
  • Experience designing and architecting distributed and scalable systems.
  • Strong software engineering foundation, including SOLID principles, best practices, and design patterns.
  • Solid knowledge of computer networks and high-scale systems, including latency, throughput, contention, and network congestion.
  • Experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, New Relic, or Datadog.
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience working with agile methodologies.
  • Go experience is a plus.
  • Experience with web servers and reverse proxies such as Nginx or Apache is a plus.
  • Experience operating or using CDN technologies, including security requirements such as WAF and authentication tokens, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Lua or other embedded languages is a plus.
  • Familiarity with debugging and optimization tools for embedded systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Unix and operating systems, including terminal usage, sysctl, perf, top/htop, and user space vs. kernel space concepts, is a plus.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform is a plus.
  • Experience with mentoring and technical development of people is a plus.
