Description

  • Design, build, and deploy Mendix applications using best-practice architecture and development patterns.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable Mendix solutions.
  • Develop domain models, microflows, nanoflows, workflows, integrations, and UI components.
  • Build custom components using Java actions and maintain Mendix best practices.
  • Design and implement security models that follow least-privilege principles and enterprise security standards.
  • Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, logging, monitoring, and auditability across the application lifecycle.
  • Integrate Mendix applications with external systems such as REST, SOAP, OData, Kafka, databases, and identity providers.
  • Design, document, and publish APIs, reusable modules, and productized components for use across applications.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate developers and lead technical discussions, solution workshops, sprint planning, and refinement sessions.
  • Own CI/CD, automated deployments, branching strategies, testing, troubleshooting, and application lifecycle management.

Requirements

  • Mendix Advanced or Expert certification, with Expert strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience developing Mendix applications.
  • Experience delivering at least one complex Mendix application into production.
  • Expert-level knowledge of domain modeling, microflows, nanoflows, security models, Java actions, and JavaScript actions.
  • Experience with Git-based development, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
  • Strong experience with REST/SOAP web services, API design, documentation, and best practices.
  • Strong Java and JavaScript proficiency for custom actions, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, and indexing.
  • Hands-on experience with on-premise and cloud environments such as Mendix Cloud, Azure, or OpenShift.
  • Strong understanding of Mendix architecture, integrations, APIs, security, networking, certificates, firewalls, and proxies.
  • Experience performing multiple Mendix major upgrades.
  • Strong expertise in Mendix mobile development, including offline sync, secure storage, performance optimization, app builds, signing, and store distribution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and reporting.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Copilot, Grok, ChatGPT, or Maia to support development and communication.
  • Preferred experience leading Mendix development teams.
  • Preferred experience with Mendix tools such as QSM.
  • Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and private cloud Mendix deployments.
  • Preferred experience participating in Mendix CTF events or demonstrating Mendix security vulnerability concepts.
