Description

  • Design, build, and debug high-impact data pipelines connecting business systems to the Snowflake warehouse.
  • Own the long-term data strategy and architecture across a multi-year horizon.
  • Set technical direction and standards for pipeline design, data modeling, and data quality.
  • Build, structure, and lead a growing data organization across Data Engineering, ML Engineering, and Analytics.
  • Own headcount planning, hiring strategy, and budget for the data organization.
  • Partner with executive and cross-functional leaders to translate company strategy into data contracts and platform investments.
  • Lead audits of existing integrations and automations and prioritize replacement work.
  • Champion company-wide AI and automation enablement built on a trusted data foundation.
  • Remain hands-on in building the highest-risk, most ambiguous, or highest-impact technical work.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in data or software engineering, including 4+ years managing engineers.
  • Experience leading a multidisciplinary data organization of 5+ people.
  • Advanced SQL and Python skills.
  • Strong MDM fundamentals and technical depth to lead by example.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake or an equivalent warehouse, dbt, and an orchestration tool such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
  • Direct experience setting AI and LLM enablement strategy and building with LLM tooling.
  • Comfort operating at Director scope, including owning budgets and translating technical tradeoffs for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience building AI agents with LLMs, including tool use, retrieval, and orchestration, is preferred.
  • Backend engineering experience, ideally in JS/TS, is preferred.
  • Strong ML and MLOps knowledge is preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Stripe, Gong, reverse ETL (Polytomic), or data governance/PII handling at a company-wide policy level is preferred.

  • Base salary of $200,000-$230,000 plus a 15% bonus.
