Description

  • Translate stakeholder business requirements into data engineering solutions.
  • Design and oversee scalable, performant, secure, and maintainable data architecture and infrastructure.
  • Define data models and schemas based on business and data characteristics.
  • Select and integrate databases, data lakes, warehouses, and big data technologies.
  • Build scalable ETL processes, data pipelines, and data integration solutions.
  • Define and implement data governance, privacy, security, and compliance practices.
  • Guide data engineering teams, support implementation, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, data quality, and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and cross-functional teams to integrate systems and enable reporting.
  • Document architecture and design decisions and contribute to project planning and estimation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineering Architect or in a similar Data & Analytics role.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL, data pipelines, data governance, and distributed computing.
  • Expertise designing scalable data processing frameworks.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data lakes, data warehouses, Hadoop, and Spark.
  • Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Experience designing cloud-based data solutions using AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Knowledge of data privacy, security regulations, and governance best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience leading and mentoring data engineering teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master’s degree may be preferred.
