Description

  • Define data architecture vocabulary, strategic requirements, standards, and high-level integrated designs.
  • Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, classification guidelines, and data quality frameworks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align data strategy with business goals and document current and target states.
  • Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models optimized for scalability, performance, and business requirements.
  • Evaluate database technologies and oversee relational, NoSQL, data warehouse, data lake, lakehouse, and Big Data platform implementations.
  • Design ETL processes, data pipelines, source-to-target mappings, and other data integration solutions.
  • Implement data profiling, cleansing, harmonization, monitoring, backup, recovery, security, and privacy controls.
  • Facilitate requirements workshops, maintain data inventories, and communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Guide developers and data teams, deliver knowledge-sharing sessions, and promote data architecture best practices.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend tools and frameworks to improve data architecture capabilities.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of professional experience in Data and Analytics.
  • Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role, preferably in a complex organization.
  • Strong knowledge of data management, data modeling, database design, data integration, and performance optimization.
  • Experience implementing data governance, data quality, security, and compliance frameworks.
  • Expertise with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, Big Data solutions, cloud databases, warehouses, and lakehouse platforms.
  • Experience designing ETL processes and data pipelines, with knowledge of integration patterns and best practices.
  • Experience with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake.
  • Proficiency in at least one of Python, PySpark, R, or Scala; CI/CD automation and GenAI for data engineering are preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills; data management certification is advantageous.
