Description

  • Organize and run product demonstrations for SPT Labtech liquid handlers.
  • Maintain expert operational knowledge of the company’s liquid handling products and their application areas.
  • Provide ongoing subject matter support to Field Applications and Territory Management teams.
  • Deliver applications-based training for new and existing users of SPT Labtech and Apricot liquid handling instruments.
  • Provide remote and in-person applications support to end users.
  • Develop, modify, and enhance liquid handling and automation protocols to improve customer workflows.
  • Contribute to conference strategy and attend conferences as part of internal support activities.
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce records and customer documentation.
  • Create customer-driven marketing content such as applications notes, webinars, conference presentations, and posters.
  • Collect customer feedback to inform product development, software improvements, and related initiatives.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships and provide guidance to Associate Field Applications Scientists as needed.

Requirements

  • MSc with at least 5 years of practical experience or a PhD with at least 2 years of practical experience in Biological Science, liquid handling, laboratory automation, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of NGS methods used in research.
  • Experience with liquid handling and automation is preferable.
  • Background in HTS, assay development, molecular biology, or structural biology will also be considered.
  • Experience with workflow optimization in genomics, drug discovery, and structural biology.
  • Good understanding of genomics, drug discovery, and structural biology.
  • Practical experience with genomics or molecular biology is desirable.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively, up to 75%, including internationally.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, record-keeping, communication, presentation, and training skills.
  • Prior experience in field applications, teaching, marketing, or customer service is a plus.
  • Leadership ability with a demonstrated record of mentorship.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team structure.
