Description

  • Partner with the sales team to help customers understand how Databricks addresses their business problems.
  • Provide technical leadership to support customer evaluation and adoption of Databricks.
  • Consult on big data architecture and validate integrations with cloud services and third-party applications.
  • Execute proof-of-concepts for strategic customer projects.
  • Build and present reference architectures, how-to guides, and application demonstrations for customers.
  • Promote open source projects such as Apache Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Unity Catalog through meetups, conferences, and webinars.
  • Work directly with customers, teammates, product, post-sales, and partners to identify use cases and guide implementation.
  • Build customer relationships and cultivate internal and external champions.
  • Travel to meet customers within your territory.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role, preferably in big data technologies.
  • Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
  • Ability to program in and debug at least one of Python, SQL, Scala, Java, or R.
  • Experience building solutions on public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with data engineering technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
  • Experience with data warehousing technologies such as SQL, OLTP, OLAP, or DSS.
  • Undergraduate degree or higher in engineering or mathematics, such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience working with global system integrators, consulting organizations, financial services technology, or financial services data providers is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations within the assigned territory.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $180,000 to $247,500 USD for Zone 3.
  • Eligibility for annual performance bonus.
