Description

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for members via inbound calls and emails.
  • Handle high-volume benefit, cost, insurance verification, and billing dispute inquiries.
  • Troubleshoot payment processing and platform navigation issues and escalate when needed.
  • Communicate sensitive health and financial information with empathy, professionalism, and HIPAA compliance.
  • De-escalate stressful member situations and provide solution-focused support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues quickly and ensure requests are completed.
  • Follow established workflows, SOPs, and company policies while meeting service quality standards.
  • Identify recurring member issues and share trends to help improve processes and product experience.
  • Support occasional shift changes, including one weekend per month and at least four holidays per year.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a high-volume contact center environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience with member benefits, eligibility, verification, or billing, including disputes, payment processing, or claims.
  • Experience in healthcare or insurance support is preferred.
  • Ability to work any assigned shift between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM EST.
  • Willingness to work 1 weekend per month and at least 4 holidays per year.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong empathetic listening skills and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
  • Experience handling sensitive information or supporting individuals in distress.
  • Technical proficiency with the ability to troubleshoot and guide users effectively.
  • A designated private work environment that supports data privacy and confidentiality.
  • Experience with Jira, Zendesk, or other ticketing systems is preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare or health tech is preferred.
