Description

  • Build and evolve ad experiences that allow millions of listeners to enjoy Spotify for free.
  • Collaborate with engineers across Android, iOS, backend, and web, as well as product, design, and data partners to ship features.
  • Write clean, maintainable code that scales across teams and products.
  • Contribute to the technical direction, architecture, and best practices for Android development within Advertising.
  • Improve app performance, reliability, and user experience across ad surfaces.
  • Help shape reusable components and libraries that support fast, consistent development.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and autonomous team environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience building Android applications.
  • Strong ability to write clear, idiomatic Kotlin or Java and build maintainable Android applications.
  • Experience with modern Android frameworks and development tools.
  • Strong understanding of Android architecture patterns and API design.
  • Understanding of how mobile applications connect with backend systems end-to-end.
  • At least one app shipped to the Google Play Store, or a project you can walk through.
  • Commitment to collaboration and contributing to a positive, inclusive team environment.
  • Ability to work within the Americas region.
  • Willingness to collaborate in the Eastern Standard Time zone.
  • Preferred: experience with audio/video ad experiences or large-scale consumer mobile products.
