Description

  • Establish and manage relationships with new and existing payment partners across multiple geographies.
  • Lead onboarding and negotiations with banks, PSPs, telcos, aggregators, and other payment channels in Africa and LATAM.
  • Work with Product, Risk, Operations, and Platform teams to prepare launches and support payment channel go-live.
  • Optimize payment flows, manage failover, and identify gaps to improve pay-in and payout growth and performance.
  • Set up monthly competitor benchmarking on pricing, new payment trends, success rates, and settlement performance.
  • Track and improve payment partner KPIs, including success rates, latency, downtime, and cost per transaction.
  • Support downtime tracking, root cause analysis, and business continuity planning from a partnership management perspective.
  • Collaborate with PSPs, telcos, banks, and internal teams to improve payment performance and reliability.
  • Partner with Product, Ops, Risk, and Tech teams on flow and reliability improvements.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in payments, fintech, e-commerce, or transaction-heavy platforms.
  • Strong understanding of the payment landscape and experience across African and LATAM markets.
  • Strong understanding of PSPs, mobile money, cards, and local payment rails.
  • Self-starter who is comfortable operating in low-structure, high-velocity environments typical of emerging markets.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across product, operations, tech, and external partners.
  • Builder mindset with experience thriving in greenfield and scale-up environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple work streams in parallel without loss of execution quality.
  • Strong structuring skills with the ability to turn ambiguity into clear plans, frameworks, and outcomes.
  • High autonomy with the confidence to own decisions and execution end-to-end.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
