Description

  • Collaborate with product teams to scope projects and reduce scope for faster customer feedback.
  • Navigate integration and UX tradeoffs across different product teams.
  • Deliver solutions through Speechify’s cross-platform SDK.
  • Optimize existing functionality for faster loading and more intelligent parsing.
  • Design more efficient abstractions and improve algorithms.
  • Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.

Requirements

  • Systems thinking and an understanding that optimizing a system requires end-to-end design.
  • Ability to work quickly, generate options, and decide what can ship now versus later.
  • Ability to stay focused and work effectively in a busy, remote, high-growth startup environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills with opinionated designers, marketers, and product managers.
  • Preferred experience with Kotlin Multiplatform; Java experience is acceptable, but the role is centered on Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Prior experience with GCP is a plus.
  • Interest in working on foundational services and APIs that support product experience across platforms.
