Description

  • Invent and implement secure LLM-based workflows for engineering and business processes.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain production machine-learning models for nuclear-system design and analysis.
  • Develop surrogate models for real-time digital twins.
  • Build and manage a software engineering team supporting AI initiatives.
  • Lead company-wide initiatives from inception through delivery and maintenance.
  • Present roadmaps, product demonstrations, and progress updates to senior leadership.
  • Gather feedback from individual contributors and department leaders to align initiatives with organizational needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent software engineering experience.
  • Experience integrating AI with large corporate data ontologies.
  • Experience with physics-informed machine learning, surrogate models, symbolic encodings, or digital twins.
  • Fluency in Python, with experience in CI/CD pipelines, Git, large data-collection pipelines, optimization, statistics, and design of experiments.
  • Experience growing small software organizations and leading company-wide initiatives.
  • Preferred: Rust, TypeScript/JavaScript, Svelte, or GitLab CI/CD development experience.
  • Preferred: Experience handling sensitive, controlled, or regulated data and AI-related quality assurance and compliance.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of nuclear engineering, fast-reactor design, or Monte Carlo neutronics tools such as MCNP, SERPENT, and OpenMC.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup.
  • Willingness to learn nuclear engineering concepts and contribute to clean-energy and advanced-fission development.
  • Remote employees must travel to Santa Clara headquarters twice per quarter and work onsite for the first two weeks of onboarding; U.S. person eligibility may be required for export-controlled information.
