Description

  • Lead customer technical projects delivering production-grade data, AI, and application systems.
  • Design and implement reference architectures, custom applications, data ingestion pipelines, and ML/AI integrations.
  • Own architecture and design decisions to ensure secure, scalable solutions aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
  • Guide customers through architecture, implementation, evaluation, and adoption of Databricks solutions.
  • Scope technical delivery work with engagement managers and customer stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Databricks engineers, project managers, architects, support teams, and customer teams to deliver engagement requirements.
  • Provide product and implementation feedback and help resolve engagement-specific technical issues.
  • Embed with customer teams and communicate with stakeholders ranging from technical contributors to executives.
  • Create reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale across accounts and influence the product roadmap.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
  • Proficiency in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar modern frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems among AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in one.
  • Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and familiarity with Spark runtime internals.
  • Experience with CI/CD for production deployments.
  • Working knowledge of MLOps, machine learning and AI models, and AI APIs.
  • Experience designing and deploying performant end-to-end data architectures and applications combining pipelines, ML/AI models, and user interfaces.
  • Experience delivering technical projects, including managing scope, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong documentation and whiteboarding skills.
  • Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn technologies supporting Databricks-based solutions.
  • Willingness to travel to customers approximately 20% of the time.
  • Databricks certification preferred.

  • Base salary range of $182,000–$250,208 USD, depending on pay zone and candidate factors.
