Description

  • Own test strategy, planning, execution, and quality sign-off for SonicOS components.
  • Architect, develop, and maintain automation frameworks, pipelines, and test tools.
  • Drive an automation-first regression strategy and improve overall test coverage.
  • Perform complex system, integration, and upgrade/downgrade testing.
  • Partner with development and product teams in design reviews, scrums, and defect triage.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and validation of critical customer issues.
  • Mentor engineers and review test plans, automation design, and coverage.
  • Drive release readiness, escape analysis, and quality metrics.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing, NAT, VLANs, and firewall policies.
  • Experience with firewall and security technologies such as VPN, DPI/App Control, IPS, Gateway AV, and Geo-IP/Botnet.
  • Hands-on automation experience with Playwright, Selenium, PyTest, or Robot Framework.
  • Programming experience in Python or JavaScript for framework and tool development.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix debugging, logs, core dumps, and packet capture tools such as tcpdump and Wireshark.
  • Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Git-based pipelines.
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA or similar.
  • Exposure to effective use of AI tools.
  • Experience with signature-based services and live update pipelines is preferred.
  • Experience with cloud test environments such as AWS or Azure is preferred.
  • Experience handling customer escalations and reproducing field issues is preferred.
  • B.E., B.Tech., or M.Tech. in CS, IT, or a related field.
