Description

  • Debug and troubleshoot incidents involving Sonatype products and solutions.
  • Reproduce defects and file actionable issues for product engineering.
  • Replicate customer deployment environments for testing across Docker, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and similar platforms.
  • Represent Technical Support and customer interests in Engineering and Product Management discussions.
  • Assist Product Management in developing and prioritizing enhancement lists.
  • Summarize, communicate, and escalate customer experiences to management.
  • Contribute to and maintain the Knowledge Base.
  • Contribute to diagnostic tools and utilities and create new ones.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via support cases, email, chat, and phone.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience supporting complex enterprise software solutions.
  • Ability to read and understand Java code.
  • Experience using REST APIs.
  • Experience testing and/or developing production-quality Java-based web applications.
  • Solid experience with Linux command-line tools.
  • Experience with SQL databases, with PostgreSQL as a plus.
  • Experience with networking concepts such as sockets, HTTP, proxies/firewalls, and TLS/SSL.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or TypeScript.
  • Experience with a major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with one or more application servers such as Jetty, Apache, or NGINX.
  • Experience with container technology such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid English proficiency.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience working with internal and external clients on technical challenges.
  • SCM and CI/CD tool experience such as Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub, or GitLab is preferred.
  • Experience debugging certificate-based mutual TLS and SSL authentication is preferred.
  • Experience analyzing network traces with tools such as Wireshark or tcpdump is preferred.
  • Familiarity with component management build tools such as Maven, npm, or NuGet is preferred.
  • Experience with Sonatype, JFrog, Snyk, or similar products is preferred.
  • Experience deploying or configuring cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
  • OAuth and/or SAML integration experience is preferred.
