Description

  • Manage project preconstruction, including EPC bids and engineering design oversight.
  • Own delivery of projects within budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, clients, stakeholders, and vendors to execute projects effectively.
  • Allocate project resources and assign tasks to team members.
  • Lead regular project meetings to identify and resolve issues and risks.
  • Manage engineering and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
  • Review critical path schedules and align project execution with company and financing requirements.
  • Develop project budgets, manage cash flow, and track costs against benefits and Stage Gate financial goals.
  • Prepare project reporting deliverables at required intervals.
  • Support negotiation of EPC contract amounts and contract terms.
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of solar systems, including safety, health, and environmental compliance.
  • Communicate project status, milestones, and deliverables to internal teams, management, and financing partners.
  • Manage utility interconnection processes after execution of the interconnection agreement.
  • Coordinate with financing parties on independent or third-party engineering deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related STEM field.
  • Advanced degree or professional certification in project management preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience achieving positive renewable energy project construction results.
  • Deep understanding of the solar industry.
  • Experience with solar electrical equipment engineering and/or electrical engineering.
  • Experience with solar racking design and engineering processes, including geotechnical studies and pile load testing.
  • Field experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with utility interconnection processes and testing requirements.
  • Proficiency with MS Project or other critical path scheduling tools.
  • PMP, PE, NABCEP, OSHA 10 or 30, or other relevant certifications preferred.
  • Proven project management experience, preferably in the solar energy industry.
  • Strong understanding of solar photovoltaic systems and installation practices.
  • Ability to read and comprehend plans, drawings, specifications, bid materials, contracts, and construction documents.
  • Knowledge of project management software and tools.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to solar energy projects.
