Description

  • Diagnose and resolve complex customer incidents with Tier 1 and Tier 2 Service Desk teams, including major incident response and root cause analysis.
  • Design, develop, test, implement, and support scalable enhancements and defect fixes.
  • Maintain and develop cloud infrastructure, Helm charts, Azure pipelines, Java code, configuration files, and related support tools.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, Support, clients, and other stakeholders on technical solutions and implementation work.
  • Evaluate technologies and recommend improvements to frameworks, coding standards, tools, and development practices.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, code reviews, and troubleshooting guidance to developers and support teams.
  • Break down technical work, guide implementation approaches, and serve as a technical escalation point for complex production issues.
  • Maintain technical documentation, development frameworks, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure solutions meet security, privacy, quality, performance, and architectural standards.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support for critical production incidents.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of software development experience with Java.
  • Experience developing software applications and applying unit and functional testing practices.
  • Experience with end-to-end feature development and complex systems.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Experience with HL7, including V2 or FHIR, is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Hibernate, Spring, REST web services, and Git is an asset.
  • Experience in a software support or troubleshooting role is an asset.
  • Preference for candidates based in Ontario.
