Description

  • Design and develop backend services and scalable RESTful APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Build low-latency API services and secure multi-tenant environments on AWS.
  • Integrate applications with external services through SDKs.
  • Design and manage PostgreSQL/AuroraDB schemas, migrations, raw SQL, and row-level security.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD applications and workflows.
  • Write comprehensive tests, including integration tests against real databases and failure-mode testing.
  • Contribute to frontend development with React when needed.
  • Collaborate with clients and teammates to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
  • Apply best practices and take ownership and accountability for deliverables.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional, backend-focused software development experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building scalable RESTful APIs and low-latency services in AWS.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or AuroraDB, including row-level security, raw SQL, and schema migrations.
  • Experience building secure multi-tenant environments and integrating external services through SDKs.
  • Professional experience with React and broader full-stack development.
  • Strong testing practices, including real-database integration testing and fault-injection testing.
  • Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD applications.
  • Experience working with AI coding assistants in daily development.
  • Substantial experience with large, complex systems, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ownership.
  • Bachelor’s degree and availability to overlap with US business hours.
  • Preferred: experience with event-sourced or bitemporal data models, Fastify, Zod, AWS Fargate/ECS, or compliance-sensitive domains.
