Description

  • Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing enterprise SaaS sales team including Regional Directors and Account Executives.
  • Drive sales strategy and lead the team to consistently exceed quarterly and annual revenue and bookings objectives.
  • Create and execute account strategies and sales plays to win large, complex deals across Global 1000 accounts.
  • Develop and expand senior executive relationships, increasing Smartsheet C-level engagement and executive alignment.
  • Coach and mentor Regional Directors and Account Executives on solution-based sales processes, account planning, and opportunity execution.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product & Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success to support deal execution and account growth.
  • Shape pricing, packaging, and commercial approaches to pursue and win large, complex opportunities.
  • Use and promote core sales and revenue tools (Smartsheet, Clari, Altify, Salesforce.com, Chorus, Tableau, LinkedIn, DiscoverOrg) and run forecasting, territory planning, and sales methodology execution.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales objectives leading enterprise SaaS sales teams and driving substantial growth in Global 1000 accounts.
  • Proven ability to execute land-and-expand strategies to predictably grow accounts and establish enterprise standards.
  • Demonstrated competence engaging and developing value-based relationships with Global 1000 C-level executives.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience, including second-line management, leading strategic software or Strategic Account SaaS teams.
  • 10+ years of experience in the software industry with recent enterprise SaaS experience, preferably selling business applications (sales, marketing, HR, finance, manufacturing).
  • Experience with formal sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDICC) and with account/territory/opportunity planning and forecasting.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, evolving, high-growth companies and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required or MBA preferred; comfort using sales and analytics tools such as Salesforce, Clari, Altify, Chorus, Tableau, LinkedIn, and DiscoverOrg.
