Description

  • Build and manage a sales pipeline to meet or exceed software and services sales quotas across a defined book of business.
  • Execute a solution-based sales process across multiple groups within large enterprise accounts.
  • Manage strategic renewals with IT and business units within large enterprise customers.
  • Develop whitespace opportunities by analyzing customer needs and targeting high-value expansion opportunities across departments.
  • Leverage existing relationships to expand Smartsheet’s footprint and drive revenue growth during renewals.
  • Articulate and demonstrate Smartsheet’s organizational and functional solutions value.
  • Coordinate with Sales Engineers, Solutions Consultants, Sales Development, and Customer Success teams to support the full sales cycle and close business.
  • Create and maintain Joint Engagement Plans for strategic solution deals.
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and use MEDDICC qualification guidelines to forecast effectively.
  • Use account research and sales enablement tools to identify top accounts and build territory plans.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of full-cycle sales experience from prospecting to close in a technology-oriented field, with SaaS highly preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience working with enterprise accounts of more than 10,000 employees.
  • 3+ years of experience maintaining customer relationships in a B2B environment.
  • Experience prospecting and managing a designated territory to maximize revenue growth.
  • Ability to research accounts to uncover upsell opportunities and multi-thread across an organization.
  • Data-driven sales approach that informs process and customer guidance.
  • Ability to manage strategic interactions with senior-level management.
  • Experience using CRM and BI tools such as Salesforce and Tableau to track activities, metrics, and territory insights.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini to support storytelling.
  • Passion for working with new technologies and technical concepts.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education.
