Description

  • Build and manage a sales pipeline to meet or exceed software and services sales quotas within the assigned book of business.
  • Execute a solution-based sales process across multiple groups within commercial accounts of roughly 2,000-5,000 employees.
  • Develop and prospect new business opportunities within existing customers by identifying high-value needs across departments and lines of business.
  • Expand Smartsheet’s footprint within accounts and drive revenue growth during renewals.
  • Articulate and demonstrate Smartsheet’s organizational and functional value to customers.
  • Coordinate and manage partnerships with Sales Engineers, Solutions Consultants, Sales Development, and Customer Success teams to close business.
  • Create and maintain Joint Engagement Plans for strategic solution deals.
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and use MEDDICC qualification guidelines to support forecasting.
  • Use sales enablement tools and account research to prioritize top accounts and execute territory plans.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of full-cycle sales experience from prospecting to close in a technology-oriented field; SaaS experience is highly preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience working with enterprise-level accounts with more than 2,000 employees.
  • 3+ years of experience maintaining customer relationships in a B2B environment.
  • Experience prospecting and managing a designated territory to maximize revenue growth.
  • Ability to research accounts to uncover up-sell opportunities within existing plans and multi-thread opportunities across an organization.
  • Data-driven sales approach that informs customer guidance and sales process.
  • Ability to manage strategic interactions with senior-level management.
  • Experience using CRM and business intelligence tools such as Salesforce and Tableau to track activities, metrics, and territory insights.
  • Passion for working with new technologies and technical concepts.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of post-secondary education.
