Description

  • Build and scale low-latency, high-throughput backend services and infrastructure for real-time ad requests.
  • Develop proprietary AI agents for media buying and distribution in collaboration with a data scientist.
  • Integrate with OpenRTB, DSPs, SSPs, and other third-party AdTech APIs.
  • Own the end-to-end design and delivery of critical services or components.
  • Guide engineers through code reviews, mentoring, and technical standards.
  • Apply architectural judgment to improve a live, performance-critical platform without disrupting existing functionality.
  • Shape the integration of agentic processes into the advertising platform.
  • Collaborate with the CTO and engineering team on technical direction and problem solving.
  • Work within GitOps deployment practices and a code-review culture.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of advanced Node.js backend engineering experience.
  • 3+ years building low-latency, high-throughput systems with millisecond response times and high request volumes.
  • 1+ year of hands-on production experience building agentic AI, including LLM agents and collaboration with data scientists.
  • 5+ years of experience building APIs and third-party integrations.
  • 2+ years conducting code and peer reviews while mentoring or guiding engineers.
  • 3+ years of advanced TypeScript experience; strong modern JavaScript may substitute.
  • 2+ years of React experience.
  • 2+ years of GCP experience; AWS or Azure may substitute.
  • 2+ years working with Kubernetes and Argo CD for GitOps deployments; Flux or Helm may substitute.
  • Senior Engineer or Architect-level technical leadership experience, ideally alongside a CTO.
  • Programmatic advertising experience with OpenRTB, real-time bidding, DSPs, or SSPs preferred.
  • Experience with Go or another performance-focused language, Jenkins, and Grafana preferred.
