Description

  • Work across product managers, designers, and engineers to build right-sized solutions that advance SOIA capabilities.
  • Meet product requirements in a timely manner without compromising operational stability.
  • Participate in Agile software development and deployment processes.
  • Provide ongoing support for mission-critical services and applications used in real-time space operations intelligence.
  • Communicate methods, findings, and hypotheses with stakeholders.
  • Work across frontend and backend services to deliver value to internal and external users.
  • Build data platforms, pipelines, microservices, AI agent integrations, and distributed systems for SOIA workflows.
  • Design, build, and document APIs, including REST and GraphQL, to support high-volume, real-time data flows.
  • Develop advanced data interfaces and interactive user experiences that help operators make decisions faster.
  • Turn architecture ideas into technical specifications that other team members can execute.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software development.
  • A 4-year degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Active security clearance is required; Top Secret clearance is preferred.
  • Experience with Java, Kotlin, GraphQL or GraphQL subscriptions, REST, Docker, Kubernetes, React, and Python, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with AWS cloud deployments, including PaaS and IaaS offerings and Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Experience working with containers and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and EKS.
  • Strong working knowledge of Git and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures, including Kafka and CloudEvents, as well as data platforms, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of database design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting with PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
  • Experience collaborating with data scientists to incorporate AI/ML/LLM capabilities into production software.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Preferred experience with security compliance frameworks such as NIST 800-53, DoD ILs, or FedRAMP.
  • Preferred experience with startups or product-centric organizations.
  • Preferred knowledge of frontend technologies including React and Three.js.
  • Preferred collaboration experience with DevOps and infrastructure teams.
  • Preferred familiarity with QA practices.
  • Preferred track record of predictable software delivery with Product partners.
  • Preferred prior space or aerospace industry experience.
  • Preferred experience integrating complex external systems via APIs.
  • Preferred experience with simulation technologies such as HLA/DIS.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $150,000 to $200,000 plus benefits.
  • Two open roles with a strong preference for Colorado Springs, CO.
  • Eligibility to work in a defined set of U.S. states or the United Kingdom, depending on location.
