Description

  • Direct the development and retention of new strategic accounts in major retail channels.
  • Manage third-party distribution partners and oversee retail programs run through distribution for logistical support.
  • Own major retail channel relationships, including buyer management, retailer onboarding, negotiations, and communications.
  • Build channel-specific bundles or SKUs and resolve channel conflict with other account managers.
  • Prepare sales reports, implement process improvements, and lead customer meetings.
  • Manage the major retail P&L, including pricing, discounts, pallet production costs, marketing expenses, and other account expenses.
  • Leverage internal resources across finance, marketing, technology, operations, sales operations, customer service, product management, and marketing to maximize opportunities.
  • Ensure demand forecasts and purchase orders are accurate and submitted on time.
  • Optimize channel and company inventory levels to improve efficiency and meet market demand.
  • Identify and evaluate business development opportunities and manage cross-functional projects, schedules, and milestones.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of major account sales management experience.
  • Experience with Home Depot, Lowe's, Dick’s Sporting Goods, or other major retailers required.
  • Experience working with multiple distribution partners, including negotiating contracts and managing retailer accounts through distribution.
  • Strong strategic planning and execution skills with the ability to turn plans into revenue-generating actions.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for working with internal teams and external partners.
  • Established relationships with retailers and strong knowledge of their internal systems and processes.
  • Experience using syndicated data, Circana, 3PL data systems, Google Sheets, or similar tools for retail analytics, forecasting, and inventory management.
  • Ability to incorporate customer-specific data into forecasting and inventory tools.
  • Remote work preferred for candidates based on the East Coast or Los Angeles.
