Description

  • Conduct regular one-on-ones, give actionable feedback, manage performance, and coach engineers on career growth.
  • Build and maintain a supportive, inclusive, and highly productive team culture.
  • Align the team on clear expectations, ownership, and common engineering practices.
  • Partner with product managers and other stakeholders to deliver against a shared roadmap.
  • Act as a technical sounding board by reviewing architectural designs and challenging technical decisions.
  • Ensure the team maintains high standards for reliability, scalability, and code quality.
  • Contribute to engineering strategy and strategic planning with the engineering management team.
  • Support the team in adopting best practices and using AI tools to improve day-to-day efficiency.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience managing, coaching, and growing software engineering teams.
  • Proven professional experience as a Software Engineer in backend, frontend, fullstack, or cloud systems.
  • Demonstrated success managing engineering execution and helping teams ship high-quality software on time.
  • Strong technical depth to review architecture, challenge technical decisions, and guide sustainable solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working in cross-functional environments.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • Experience leading or collaborating with international and multicultural teams (preferred).
  • Familiarity with JVM-based backend systems, microservice architectures, or related modern web/platform stacks (preferred).
  • Comfort with a hands-off management style that still stays close to technical work (preferred).
