Description

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and maintain software solutions for financial processes.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design through deployment.
  • Build new features and products as part of an integrated engineering team.
  • Use accounting domain knowledge to identify gaps and improve automation and reconciliation workflows.
  • Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics.
  • Provide support and consulting on software system usage.
  • Design software applications and features in Golang.
  • Build reports and automations using Python and SQL.
  • Help design and scale distributed architecture while maintaining consistency.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to design products and improve existing offerings.
  • Develop and track metrics to drive continuous improvement of existing products.
  • Deliver high-quality, testable features that meet reporting and compliance standards.
  • Mentor other engineers and help elevate team knowledge.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of full-stack software engineering experience.
  • 8+ years of experience is the compensation basis for this senior role.
  • Experience building and serving REST APIs using Go, Java, Python, or a similar language.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or a similar field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior experience as an accountant or financial analyst is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial operations such as reconciliation, reporting, and compliance.
  • Experience in banking or financial institutions is a plus.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Java, and Go.
  • Experience with database systems such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with software engineering tools, development methodology, and release processes.
  • Comfort using observability tools such as Prometheus, New Relic, or Datadog for production monitoring and alerting.
  • Experience with containerized microservice architecture deployed with Kubernetes on AWS.
  • Demonstrated history of delivering commercial APIs and web applications.
  • Ability to bring new ideas and build consensus on the path forward.
