Description

  • Run and improve a modern, containerized service-oriented architecture using industry-leading development practices.
  • Ship production code multiple times per day.
  • Solve complex performance problems and scale software to support business growth.
  • Build performant, inclusive user interfaces that improve the user experience.
  • Evaluate new technologies and evolve the software stack.
  • Use AI tools to prototype and deliver ideas faster while meeting technical and product standards.
  • Collaborate across teams and disciplines to build the best product possible.
  • Own major areas of the payments stack from design through operation, including reliability, cost, and performance outcomes.
  • Develop and expand the native payment processing solution across the US and EMEA client base.
  • Work closely with Finance, Risk, and Product to define and deliver payment strategies.

Requirements

  • Experience building business-critical software in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience solving complex technical challenges in production systems.
  • Strong software craftsmanship with high standards for code quality.
  • A product mindset focused on user experience and business impact.
  • Commitment to teamwork, mentoring, and learning from others.
  • Experience owning end-to-end payment systems and external processor integrations such as Stripe or Adyen.
  • Experience designing resilient, idempotent workflows and handling real-world failure modes.
  • Experience operating payment systems in production, including monitoring, incident response, and performance optimization.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Finance, and Risk to deliver payment solutions.
  • Experience leading projects or mentoring engineers, with interest in technical or people leadership.
  • Experience ensuring financial correctness through reconciliation, auditability, and robust data modeling.
  • Preferred familiarity with technologies in the stack such as Python, Go, C#/.NET Core, React + TypeScript, Swift, Kotlin, AWS, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Datadog, GitLab, Aurora/Postgres, ElastiCache/Memcached, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, Kafka, Flink, Airflow, and Temporal.
