Description

  • Work with engineers and technical leaders to ship interoperable products and systems that support customer interactions inside and outside the vehicle.
  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of complex software systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliverables.
  • Implement single sign-on solutions and design identity, access, and profile services across web, mobile, and vehicle applications.
  • Implement software development best practices, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and experiment with new tools and techniques to improve development processes.
  • Own team services and provide 24/7 on-call coverage.
  • Build and support digital portfolio products such as mobile and desktop applications, vehicle connectivity solutions, mapping services, and planning optimization systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of software development experience with a focus on back-end technologies.
  • Proficiency in one of Go, Node.js, Python, Java, or Ruby.
  • Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
  • Experience with identity management systems such as Azure AD, AWS Cognito, LDAP, Okta, or Keyclock.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Preferred: prior experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience building on AWS using Go and/or Python.
  • Preferred: full-stack development experience.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
  • The role is based in Fremont, California, with remote applicants considered except in New York City.
  • The role requires one day per week in the office and occasional travel for in-person meetings and company events.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation with a base salary range of $140,000 to $170,000, or $154,000 to $187,000 in California.
  • Eligibility for an annual performance bonus program.

  • 20 days of planned PTO, plus 40 hours of unplanned PTO and 14 company or floating holidays annually.
