Description

  • Own the accuracy and completeness of employee data across HRIS and related systems, including identifying automation and integration opportunities.
  • Process semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll for a global employee population and partner with Finance on reconciliation and reporting.
  • Administer compensation and benefits processes, including offer letters, merit cycle data, enrollments, life events, and carrier coordination.
  • Serve as the primary employee-facing contact for benefits enquiries and first-line People questions and concerns.
  • Own the onboarding experience from offer acceptance through the first 90 days and manage offboarding end-to-end.
  • Triage employee relations matters and escalate complex or risk-bearing issues to the Head of People appropriately.
  • Coordinate annual and mid-year performance review cycles, including timelines, system configuration, communications, and support for managers and employees.
  • Maintain HR dashboards and reporting cadences for headcount, attrition, compensation, and hiring activity.
  • Respond to ad hoc reporting requests and surface data trends or anomalies to leadership.
  • Continuously improve People processes to reduce manual effort and increase operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of HR or People Operations experience, ideally in a fast-moving, technology-driven, or PE-backed company.
  • Hands-on payroll processing experience is required.
  • Multi-state or global payroll experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as Rippling, Workday, BambooHR, or similar.
  • Comfort building or improving system workflows.
  • Working knowledge of benefits administration, leave management, and employment compliance fundamentals across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Strong data skills, including the ability to build pivot tables, spot errors, and present clean numbers confidently.
  • Experience supporting or executing performance review cycles and compensation processes.
  • Experience in a life sciences, biotech, or SaaS company is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with UK or other international employment practices is advantageous.
  • Exposure to equity administration is advantageous.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent certification is a plus.
