Description

  • Own day-to-day people operations, including payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, accommodations, and terminations.
  • Lead employee relations end-to-end by managing investigations, documentation, and legally defensible resolutions.
  • Build clinician performance management systems, including playbooks, decision trees, and templates.
  • Operate company-wide people systems, including PEO administration, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and policy documentation.
  • Scale clinician lifecycle operations across onboarding, leaves of absence, exits, and role or status changes.
  • Support compensation planning by conducting market reviews, helping create pay bands and raise frameworks, and executing compensation changes.
  • Build consistent people processes for the corporate team, including onboarding, offboarding, performance management, and structured feedback.
  • Partner with Clinical Ops and Provider Growth to support scaling to 1,000+ clinicians.
  • Work with the CEO and Head of Clinical Operations to turn people challenges into scalable, repeatable processes.

Requirements

  • 6–10 years of experience in people operations or human resources within a startup, consulting, or high-growth environment.
  • Direct experience with employee relations and pay/benefits administration.
  • Strong employee relations experience; this is non-negotiable and expected from day one.
  • Ability to think from first principles rather than relying on generic HR best practices.
  • Experience building scalable processes for a large and complex workforce, ideally 1,000+ clinicians.
  • Sound judgment in messy, high-stakes situations such as investigations, terminations, and performance issues.
  • High ownership, strong organization, and reliability to run the function largely independently.
  • Comfort working hands-on with PEO administration, payroll coordination, compensation data in Excel, trackers, and formulas.
  • NYC-based preferred, with remote considered for the right candidate.
