Description

  • Develop and deliver presentations to individuals, small and large groups, and the sales team, then follow up appropriately.
  • Plan and execute territory activities by scheduling, documenting work in the CRM, and using reports and planning tools.
  • Identify customer needs by asking effective questions, listening actively, and proposing relevant solutions.
  • Create action plans and schedules to maintain and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Navigate internal customer databases to locate, review, and document customer information.
  • Negotiate, structure, and close complex opportunities with a win-win focus.
  • Sell SanMar’s value proposition through targeted presentations and customer conversations.
  • Explain and demonstrate the features and benefits of SanMar’s marketing tools to external customers.
  • Plan air, car, and hotel travel to support customer visits while controlling company expenses.
  • Comply with company policies and standards and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 4-6 years of related sales experience.
  • 1-3 years of industry sales experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and a good driving record.
  • Ability to analyze emerging business trends and evaluate opportunity viability.
  • Ability to build partnerships and communicate effectively with customers, sales teams, and internal departments.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow through on projects and manage multiple tasks at once.
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, objectivity, and service orientation.
  • Leadership presence with an enthusiastic, energetic, outgoing, sales-oriented approach.
  • Strong organization, planning, and time-management skills.
  • Flexibility to travel and relocate if needed.
  • Ability to reside in the main metropolitan or comparable area of the St. Louis managed territory.
  • Must be able to provide a credit card for business expenses and wait 2-4 weeks for reimbursement.
