Description

  • Architect and maintain marketing databases, datasets, pipelines, and the Customer Data Platform to support segmentation, targeting, automation, and analytics.
  • Design and implement data infrastructure for AI/ML initiatives, including pipelines for Generative AI applications, feature stores, and vector database integrations.
  • Support conversational BI and Ambient AI initiatives within the marketing organization in partnership with the BI team.
  • Automate manual marketing tasks using AI to improve efficiency across the organization.
  • Manage high-volume data pipelines, including service-level agreements, efficiency improvements, and data quality.
  • Facilitate data integration and transformation between applications and ensure interoperability across data mart, AI models, and CDP environments.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Ops stakeholders to translate business questions into technical requirements and scalable data solutions.
  • Write optimized Python and SQL transformations to generate data products used by customer systems and internal operations teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and help define team best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a data engineering or closely related role.
  • Expert-level Python and SQL skills with strong hands-on data modeling experience.
  • Experience engineering data pipelines for AI/ML workloads, including unstructured data preparation for LLMs, vector stores, or feature engineering pipelines.
  • Experience building and scaling RAG infrastructure, including vector database integrations and data-to-embedding pipelines for LLM applications.
  • Deep experience with data warehouse architectures, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting or analytics tools.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data technologies such as Databricks, DBT, Google BigQuery, Redshift, RDS, Snowflake, or similar tools.
  • Ability to lead requirements-gathering sessions independently and bridge business needs with technical implementation.
  • Experience having exploratory conversations with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities across marketing.
  • Familiarity with customer, marketing, and/or web data.
  • Experience integrating data from Sales and Marketing platforms such as marketing automation systems, CRM platforms, and web analytics tools.
  • Self-starter who is motivated, responsible, innovative, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication and project management skills for working with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with Databricks is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Marketo, Salesforce.com, and Google Analytics is preferred.
  • Experience with CDPs such as Hightouch, Segment, Lattice, Blueshift, Lytics, or Adobe Real-time CDP is preferred.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Domo, Tableau, or Mixpanel is preferred.
  • Familiarity with MarTech stacks is preferred.
  • Experience with MLOps tools and principles, such as MLflow, Kubeflow, and production model deployment, is preferred.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary of CAD $119,000 to $154,000.
