Description

  • Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales globally.
  • Become a subject matter expert on Samsara products and connected operations solutions.
  • Explain how customers use Samsara to solve industry-specific business challenges.
  • Lead pre-sales work products such as discovery sessions, product demonstrations, value assessments, and proof-of-concept implementations.
  • Guide installers through product installation scenarios and help build deployment plans.
  • Write and document scripts using the open API to solve customer problems and support fellow sales engineers.
  • Act as a consultant to customers to identify opportunities for integration, upsell, and cross-sell.
  • Serve as a liaison between product and sales teams by translating technical feedback and supporting beta program enrollment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science from a 4-year accredited university.
  • 2+ years of experience in pre-sales, customer success, or customer/product support.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders using technical sales acumen and understanding of business processes and change management.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience managing hardware and/or software product evaluations.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
  • Experience with technical consulting, cloud software, cloud-connected hardware, computer networking, business systems integration, and automation/control systems.
  • Must be located within and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Experience with task automation scripting and data transfer using Bash, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
  • Preferred: Experience building solutions using open APIs.
  • Preferred: Understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems, including CAN bus and PTO applications.
  • Preferred: Hobbyist interest in electronics or embedded systems projects such as car audio, home automation, Raspberry Pi, or Arduino.
  • Preferred: Track record of success selling complex technical solutions through strategic sales cycles.
  • Remote position open to candidates in the TOLA region of the U.S. except San Francisco Bay metros, New York City metro, and Washington, DC metro.
  • Position requires travel up to 50% of the time, and proximity to an international airport is preferred.
