Description

  • Partner with sales executives to plan, prepare, and execute strategic deals in complex sales cycles.
  • Match customer pain points and requirements to proposed solutions.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships and build trust throughout the sales cycle and beyond.
  • Work across multiple layers of the technology stack, including hardware, dashboard software, and APIs.
  • Support hardware deployment and installation for proof-of-concepts.
  • Set up and use the SaaS dashboard for customer demonstrations and solutions.
  • Create custom reporting and integrations using the company API.
  • Mentor other Sales Engineers and contribute technical and industry knowledge to the team.
  • Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales globally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • 4+ years of enterprise sales experience translating customer needs into successful sales outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of security, cloud software, automation, networking, and control systems.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems in a maintenance or shop environment.
  • Experience selling complex solutions and navigating detailed customer evaluations and deployments.
  • Ability to analyze customer requirements, prioritize feature requests, and collaborate with customers and product teams.
  • Experience developing financial models and business justifications.
  • Experience leading complex projects and fostering collaboration among stakeholders.
  • Experience with APIs and/or scripting languages such as Python (preferred).
  • Experience with technical enablement and knowledge sharing across teams (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Databricks, including Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow (preferred).
  • Experience in routing, navigation, commercial trucking fleets, or logistics (preferred).
  • Ability to support North American and European time zones (preferred).
  • Proficiency in additional languages such as Spanish or French (preferred).
  • Must reside in the Eastern Time Zone within the United States.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
