Description

  • Lead a small team of engineers across multiple concurrent initiatives and ensure delivery accountability.
  • Run sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and other execution rituals.
  • Own delivery tracking and stakeholder communication in Jira and Confluence.
  • Design and build GraphQL and REST APIs and scalable backend services.
  • Provide hands-on production code across frontend and backend systems.
  • Develop and support data ingestion workflows, ETL-style processing, and system integrations.
  • Own complex cross-domain engineering initiatives across application features, CRM functionality, API systems, and data workflows.
  • Design technical solutions that improve application growth, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Promote engineering excellence through code quality, testing practices, performance optimization, and architecture documentation.
  • Partner with Product and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, design discussions, career development, and feedback.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to improve velocity, quality, and delivery efficiency while tracking measurable impact.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a software engineer building production-grade applications.
  • Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern front-end development practices.
  • Proven experience designing, building, and scaling GraphQL and REST APIs in production.
  • Strong backend development experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and SQL, with PostgreSQL preferred.
  • Experience with modern monorepo setups such as Nx, Turborepo, or Yarn Workspaces.
  • Strong data modeling and database design experience, ideally with PostgreSQL.
  • Experience building and supporting data ingestion pipelines and application-level data processing logic using Node.js, Python, or SQL.
  • Comfort building and integrating production-grade ETL/data pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of automated testing practices and CI/CD workflows.
  • Familiarity with AWS and containerization.
  • Comfort working across both greenfield and legacy systems.
  • Experience leading projects in fast-paced startup or scaling environments.
  • Experience leading teams in an Agile environment and using Jira to manage delivery and communicate status.
  • Prior experience in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated data environments is a plus.
  • Experience building or supporting admin tools and internal platforms is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with data observability, schema governance, or data lineage tooling is a bonus.
  • Exposure to machine learning pipelines, business intelligence tools, or product instrumentation is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with mobile development frameworks such as React Native or Capacitor is a bonus.
