Description

  • Design and maintain Terraform infrastructure across development, QA, staging, and production environments.
  • Operate and secure production EKS clusters, including lifecycle management, autoscaling, ingress, workload identity, secrets, and isolation.
  • Build push-based CI/CD using self-hosted GitHub Actions runners and immutable build-once, promote-everywhere artifacts.
  • Develop shared Helm charts and golden paths with deployment-ready logging, metrics, secrets, identity, and pipelines.
  • Establish security, compliance, IAM, network, image provenance, and production guardrails.
  • Implement cloud cost allocation, tagging, right-sizing, and spend controls.
  • Create standardized logging, metrics, tracing, and cross-service telemetry contracts.
  • Define platform standards, review infrastructure changes, document decisions, and mentor engineers.
  • Partner with application, data, and AI engineering teams on deployment and runtime requirements.

Requirements

  • 8+ years building and operating production platform infrastructure; strong candidates with less experience may be considered.
  • Hands-on production Kubernetes experience, preferably with EKS, including cluster lifecycle, autoscaling, ingress, identity, secrets, and hardening.
  • Extensive Terraform experience at scale, including module design, multi-environment state management, and provider upgrades.
  • Experience building or substantially rebuilding CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Argo, or Jenkins.
  • Experience operating self-hosted GitHub Actions runners at scale.
  • Strong AWS experience with IAM, VPC networking, DNS, secrets management, registries, and managed compute.
  • Helm experience at scale, including shared chart libraries and environment-specific configuration.
  • Experience building developer platforms with service templates, golden paths, self-service tools, and documentation.
  • Observability experience with structured logging, metrics, and distributed tracing using tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
  • Security experience in regulated environments, including least-privilege IAM, secrets hygiene, network isolation, image scanning, and PHI/PII handling.
  • Experience supporting Kubernetes data workloads such as Spark, Kafka, Airflow, or Dagster, and managing cloud costs.
  • Production coding experience with Python, Go, C#/.NET, or similar, plus shell proficiency; strong communication and mentoring skills.
  • Preferred: healthcare or regulated-data experience, HIPAA/SOC 2 audit preparation, greenfield platform development, or high-throughput and LLM workloads.
