Description

  • Own monthly and quarterly commission calculations, validation, and payouts.
  • Ensure commissions processes are auditable, compliant with SoX, and aligned to sales compensation policies.
  • Manage exception handling and governance with Sales Operations and Finance.
  • Oversee commissions systems such as Xactly and maintain data integrity across inputs, outputs, and annual UAT activities.
  • Build and scale commissions processes to support company growth and increasing complexity.
  • Lead system enhancements, automation, and integrations with CRM and upstream data sources.
  • Reduce manual adjustments by identifying root causes and improving upstream processes.
  • Partner with Sales Compensation and Sales Operations on plan design, rollout, SPIFFs, and policy interpretation.
  • Collaborate with Finance on accruals, forecasting, and expense management.
  • Deliver reporting and insights on commissions trends, attainment, payout distribution, risks, and exception patterns.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for commissions-related inquiries and support executive reporting needs.
  • Manage and develop commissions analysts or specialists while establishing SLAs, QA processes, and documentation standards.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of experience in commissions, sales compensation, or sales operations.
  • Strong experience with commissions platforms such as Xactly.
  • Deep understanding of sales compensation structures including quota, accelerators, SPIFFs, and clawbacks.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau preferred.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience scaling processes in high-growth or SaaS environments.
  • Ability to support global stakeholders and occasional international travel.
  • Experience with bonus, equity, and benefits administration is not stated but the role is eligible for these components.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $108,200–$162,400 USD for SF Bay Area, DC Metro, NYC, and Seattle.
  • Base salary range of $97,400–$146,200 USD for all other U.S. offices/remote locations.
  • Eligible for bonus potential.
  • Eligible for equity.
  • Eligible for benefits.
