Description

  • Design, build, and maintain PowerShell, Python, Bash, and similar automation scripts and workflows.
  • Automate user, device, and identity lifecycle processes using Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Jamf, APIs, and webhooks.
  • Instrument automations with logging and alerting, and track reliability, time savings, and error reduction.
  • Administer and monitor identity, endpoint, collaboration, and productivity platforms, including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and Teams.
  • Resolve Windows and macOS end-user issues end-to-end and escalate critical incidents appropriately.
  • Partner with Service Desk, Infrastructure Engineering, and Information Security teams to identify and implement automation opportunities.
  • Test, deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and improve automation workflows.
  • Document workflows, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and integration notes in the automation knowledge base.
  • Use and validate AI-assisted scripts, configurations, documentation, and solution designs in accordance with security standards.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide guidance on scripting and automation best practices.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in IT systems administration, service desk operations, or a related technical role, including hands-on scripting experience.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience administering enterprise identity, collaboration, and productivity platforms such as Active Directory, Entra ID, Okta, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, or Teams.
  • Experience adapting and troubleshooting automation scripts or workflows for moderately complex technical issues.
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Claude for productivity and technical work.
  • Hands-on use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot, demonstrated through a portfolio, repository, or project.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Availability to work Central or Mountain U.S. hours, participate in on-call coverage, and travel occasionally, up to 10%.
  • Successful experience working remotely.
  • Preferred: 3+ years in IT automation, systems engineering, or a DevOps-adjacent role; relevant certifications; REST APIs, webhooks, workflow orchestration tools, endpoint management, or scripting projects.

  • Base salary of $75,000–$115,000 per year plus a discretionary 10% bonus.
