Description

  • Design, build, and maintain PowerShell, Python, Bash, and similar automation scripts and workflows.
  • Automate user lifecycle, device provisioning, identity lifecycle, and systems administration processes using platforms such as Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and Jamf.
  • Implement logging, alerting, monitoring, and metrics to ensure automation reliability, auditability, and measurable outcomes.
  • Administer and support identity, endpoint, collaboration, and productivity platforms across Windows and macOS environments.
  • Resolve end-user computing issues, own requests through completion, and escalate critical incidents and architectural issues.
  • Collaborate with Service Desk, Infrastructure Engineering, Information Security, and partner teams to identify, test, deploy, and monitor automation opportunities.
  • Document workflows, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, integrations, and technical solutions in the automation knowledge base.
  • Use and validate AI tools for scripting, troubleshooting, documentation, research, and workflow improvement.
  • Provide guidance on scripting and automation practices and participate in cross-team escalation and on-call support.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in IT systems administration, service desk operations, or a related technical role, including hands-on scripting experience.
  • Experience administering enterprise identity, collaboration, and productivity platforms such as Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, or Teams.
  • Experience adapting and troubleshooting existing scripts, automations, or workflows for moderately complex technical issues.
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Claude for technical productivity and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot, demonstrated through a portfolio, repository, or project.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Availability for Central or Mountain time-zone working hours, occasional travel to Rithum offices, and an on-call rotation; travel is up to 10%.
  • Successful experience working remotely.
  • 3+ years in IT automation, systems engineering, or a DevOps-adjacent role preferred.
  • Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, workflow orchestration tools, ITSM or endpoint management platforms, and tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Zapier, Make, n8n, Workato, Intune, Jamf, or Tanium preferred.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Linux+, or Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, are preferred.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $75,000–$115,000 per year.
  • Discretionary bonus targeted at 10% of annual base salary.
