Description

  • Design, build, and maintain PowerShell, Python, Bash, and similar automation scripts and workflows.
  • Own automated user, device, and identity lifecycle workflows using Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Jamf, APIs, and webhooks.
  • Administer and support identity, endpoint, collaboration, and productivity platforms across Windows and macOS environments.
  • Resolve end-user computing issues end-to-end and escalate critical incidents, alerts, and complex integrations.
  • Instrument, monitor, troubleshoot, and improve automation reliability, including logging, alerting, and outcome measurement.
  • Partner with Service Desk, Infrastructure Engineering, and Information Security teams to identify and automate repetitive processes.
  • Document workflows, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, integration notes, and technical solutions.
  • Use and validate AI-generated scripts, configurations, documentation, and recommendations in accordance with security standards.
  • Test, deploy, and monitor automation workflows while communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide occasional scripting guidance and participate in an on-call rotation for urgent issues.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in IT systems administration, service desk operations, or a related technical role, including automation scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise identity, collaboration, and productivity platforms such as Active Directory, Entra ID, Okta, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, or Teams.
  • Experience adapting and troubleshooting automation scripts or workflows for moderately complex technical issues.
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Claude for technical work and productivity.
  • Hands-on use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot, demonstrated through a portfolio, repository, or project.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to varied audiences.
  • Availability for Central or Mountain time-zone working hours, occasional quarterly travel, and up to 10% total travel.
  • Successful experience working remotely and participating in cross-team escalations and on-call support.
  • 3+ years of IT automation, systems engineering, or DevOps-adjacent experience preferred.
  • Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, workflow tools, ITSM or endpoint platforms, and certifications such as CompTIA or Azure Administrator preferred.

  • Base salary of $75,000–$115,000 plus a discretionary bonus target of 10%.
