Description

  • Work with clients and development teams to introduce and adapt agile engineering practices such as design thinking, TDD, paired programming, and continuous release deployment.
  • Teach clients and teammates the value and application of modern software delivery practices, adjusting the approach to fit their preferences and workflows.
  • Learn how clients communicate, learn, and receive feedback so collaboration can happen in terms that resonate with them.
  • Pair with customer developers and engineers to help them develop and deliver user stories that balance business value, technical feasibility, and user needs.
  • Build, test, and deliver working software solutions that are reliable and continuously improved week over week.
  • Collect and respond to feedback from real users in real time to guide ongoing development.
  • Collaborate closely with military service members and other developers to deliver value quickly and effectively.
  • Contribute to a balanced team that makes informed engineering decisions based on validated assumptions and stakeholder goals.
  • Support team learning and capability growth by sharing practices, tools, and approaches through hands-on collaboration.

Requirements

  • Active U.S. Secret or TS/SCI security clearance required.
  • U.S. citizenship required due to work with Federal Government customers.
  • 6-10 years of software development experience across a variety of programming languages.
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and agile methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort in a pair-programming environment.
  • Experience with Java, Kotlin, Ruby, or Elixir.
  • Experience with Spring Boot, React.js, Vue, or Redux.
  • Experience across both frontend and backend development.
  • Experience using container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and processes such as Git, Concourse, GitLabCI, SonarQube, Fortify, and ThreadFix.
  • Demonstrated experience with API development.
  • Comfort running software in Linux environments.
  • Strong understanding of algorithms, databases, and design patterns and how to apply them.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: experience in training, mentoring, or up-skilling engineers.
  • Preferred: experience developing cloud-native applications.
  • Preferred: experience leading a product or development team.
  • Preferred: experience building and deploying in a continuous delivery environment.
  • Preferred: experience working directly with clients.
  • Preferred: experience with DoD environments, especially a DoD Software Factory.

  • Annual salary range of $143,824 to $179,780, depending on level and experience.
