Description

  • Design, build, and maintain responsive React frontends for performance, usability, and reliability.
  • Develop and scale Ruby on Rails APIs serving web, desktop, and mobile clients.
  • Own PostgreSQL data architecture, including modeling, migrations, query optimization, and indexing.
  • Manage Docker and Kubernetes services and provision infrastructure with Terraform.
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines, system stability, and production deployment practices.
  • Deliver thoroughly tested code, participate in technical design reviews, and conduct peer code reviews.
  • Collaborate with business development and mission success teams to resolve technical escalations and support field operations.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience building and maintaining production applications at scale.
  • Deep expertise in Ruby, Rails or similar frameworks, SQL, and scalable backend architecture.
  • Advanced proficiency with modern React, component architecture, application state, and frontend performance optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, indexing, query plans, transactions, and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience using AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.
  • Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively in a fully remote, asynchronous environment.
  • Preferred: experience in defense, public safety, DoD, first-responder, or other secure high-availability environments.
  • Preferred: familiarity with TAK systems, biometric data and compliance, offline synchronization, mobile API design, LLM integration, or Kotlin, C++, C#, and Python.
  • U.S. work authorization and identity verification are required.
