Description

  • Enhance and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable AWS cloud environments and services.
  • Manage and prioritize the cloud infrastructure backlog to address immediate needs and long-term improvements.
  • Set up monitoring and observability solutions to proactively detect availability, performance, and security issues.
  • Own day-to-day cloud operational tasks and activities after learning the current infrastructure.
  • Assess new technologies, systems, and services for production readiness and stable integration.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for cloud processes, procedures, and architectures.
  • Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework principles to evaluate and optimize the infrastructure.
  • Conduct proof-of-concepts for new AWS services, third-party tools, and technologies.
  • Participate in out-of-office-hour cloud deployments once or twice a month.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services in a professional setting.
  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with core AWS services, including IAM, S3, KMS, RDS, VPC, ECS, and EC2.
  • Experience with multi-account and multi-region AWS production environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, preferably Terraform.
  • Scripting experience with one or more languages such as Python, Bash, or Node.js.
  • Good knowledge of cloud security services and principles, such as AWS WAF, GuardDuty, Config, and CloudTrail.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools, preferably GitLab, and with Git version control.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts, including VPC, VPC Peering, Subnets, and Load Balancing.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, OpenSearch, and the ELK stack.
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial, collaborative, and proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • A genuine interest in keeping up with new AWS services and features.
  • Ability to work well in a flexible startup environment and establish new processes when needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, plus good listening skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Availability to work during Central European Time (CET) business hours.
