Description

  • Own the end-to-end infrastructure architecture across colocation datacenters and cloud environments.
  • Design, implement, and optimize network architecture, segmentation, routing, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Administer pfSense firewalls, Snort IDS/IPS, and Cloudflare WAF/proxy configurations.
  • Maintain and optimize Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, Group Policy, and Proxmox environments.
  • Design and maintain disaster recovery, backup, and incident response processes, including participation in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation.
  • Evaluate and implement cloud-native replacements and infrastructure-as-code standards for migration to AWS.
  • Lead PCI DSS 4.0 audit readiness, support ISO 27001 and SOC 2 efforts, and oversee vulnerability remediation.
  • Maintain documentation for network diagrams, system designs, configurations, and compliance evidence.
  • Serve as the senior technical authority, mentor team members, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders on modernization planning.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure architecture, or a similar senior technical role.
  • Experience planning and executing datacenter-to-cloud migrations for production workloads.
  • Experience architecting and building production AWS environments from scratch.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including VPC, EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS/Aurora, S3, IAM, Route 53, Direct Connect/Transit Gateway, and CloudWatch.
  • Deep AWS networking expertise, including VPC design, segmentation, Transit Gateway, load balancing, DNS, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Experience designing AWS security and compliance controls using GuardDuty, Security Hub, Config, CloudTrail, and KMS in PCI DSS-regulated environments.
  • Strong firewall administration experience and working knowledge of IDS/IPS systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, and Group Policy at scale.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting for automation, administration, and infrastructure management.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms such as Proxmox, Hyper-V, or VMware.
  • Working knowledge of PCI DSS compliance requirements and audit processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop a technical team.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
