Description

  • Build and lead a Cloud Governance team.
  • Define the operating model for governance partnerships with game teams, security, and FinOps.
  • Establish ownership and enforcement mechanisms for cloud policies.
  • Design and implement enforceable controls across AWS and GCP.
  • Set guardrails for resource provisioning, region restrictions, data residency, identity and access management, and network isolation.
  • Standardize AWS account structures and GCP project/folder hierarchies.
  • Define environment segmentation, naming conventions, and resource organization standards.
  • Enforce tagging standards to support ownership, cost center attribution, cost allocation, and operational visibility.
  • Collaborate with FinOps on budgets, quotas, usage controls, and optimization levers.
  • Partner with Security and game teams to roll out policies, drive adoption, and align governance with compliance requirements.
  • Define and execute an AI-native governance strategy with autonomous, human-on-the-loop, and human-in-the-loop operating modes.
  • Architect agentic governance capabilities that monitor cloud environments, detect risk, and remediate anomalies.
  • Partner with engineering, data, security, and platform teams to embed responsible AI governance into cloud platforms.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or SRE.
  • 3–5+ years leading teams in complex, multi-team environments.
  • Experience operating in decentralized or federated engineering organizations.
  • Proven track record implementing cloud governance and enforcement at scale.
  • Experience managing or influencing environments with $50M+ cloud spend.
  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform.
  • Experience with policy-as-code and governance tooling, such as OPA, Sentinel, or AWS Config.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity, and multi-account design.
