Description

  • Lead and participate in the full software development life cycle for cloud-based enterprise applications, including design, development, testing, implementation, and support.
  • Design and develop cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
  • Build scalable, high-performance systems using REST/SOAP web services, API gateways, and relational databases.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and design patterns.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to improve development standards and code quality.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues, including production support and performance bottlenecks.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, reliability, security, and usability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with QA, DevOps, Product, and Business teams in an Agile environment.
  • Use tools such as Scrum, Jira, Confluence, and Git to deliver software on time.
  • Stay current with evolving technologies, including AI-assisted development practices, and recommend process or tooling improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of software development experience building high-performance, reliable, and scalable enterprise applications.
  • Strong proficiency with Java, Python, and Spring Boot.
  • Experience with MySQL and at least one NoSQL database.
  • Experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, log analytics, and APM tools.
  • Experience with Apache Camel, RabbitMQ or similar messaging systems, and data pipelines.
  • Experience with AWS services and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Kubernetes experience preferred.
  • Microservices design and implementation experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, distributed environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with attention to quality and maintainability.
  • Interest in sustainability and passion for making a meaningful environmental impact.
  • Angular experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience or familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the energy industry and related software systems is preferred.
  • Must currently reside in the United States.
  • No visa sponsorship or visa extension available for this role.

  • Base salary range of $85,000 to $160,000.
  • Eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.
