Description

  • Design and operate distributed Elastic clusters, including capacity planning, performance tuning, and scaling strategy.
  • Build and maintain log ingestion pipelines aligned to security frameworks and Elastic Common Schema (ECS).
  • Manage large-scale Elastic Agent and Fleet deployments.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for log ingestion, parsing, normalization, and analysis.
  • Deliver infrastructure as code and automate Elastic deployments and configuration where possible.
  • Develop and maintain Logstash pipelines for structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Integrate multiple data sources and third-party platforms into Elastic with searchable data models.
  • Create automation and scripts to detect anomalies and improve operational workflows.
  • Build dashboards, visualizations, and investigation workflows in Kibana.
  • Support development of network intrusion analytics and administer Linux systems supporting Elastic services.

Requirements

  • Certified Elastic Engineer.
  • Ability to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot multiple Elastic environments on-premises and in Elastic Cloud.
  • Experience with Elastic Stack architecture, design, and deployment.
  • Deep understanding of Elasticsearch internals, including indexing, search, and data aggregation.
  • Experience managing enterprise-scale Elasticsearch clusters, including health, performance tuning, scaling, and high availability.
  • Proficiency in Elasticsearch Query DSL for complex queries, aggregations, and data analytics.
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, or Ruby; scripting for automation is beneficial.
  • Proven cybersecurity experience, including understanding attack vectors, threat landscapes, and defensive technologies.
  • Experience implementing Elasticsearch security controls such as role-based access control, encryption, index security, and audit logging.
  • Proficiency in log and security event analysis from sources such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, network devices, and operating systems using the ELK stack.
  • Ability to craft complex queries, alerts, and visualizations for cybersecurity use cases.
  • Proficiency in data parsing using GROK/DISSECT, ingestion, and ETL workflows.
  • Experience developing complex Elasticsearch Watchers.
  • Experience with Elastic Security, Detection Rules, Machine Learning, and AI Assistant.
  • Experience creating custom dashboards and reports for ongoing security monitoring.
