Description

  • Manage complex voluntary and involuntary employee exits across multiple jurisdictions with minimal supervision.
  • Advise clients on terminations, resignations, transfers, employment contracts, redundancies, and related HR matters.
  • Lead workforce reduction consultations, hearings, separation negotiations, settlement discussions, and termination meetings.
  • Coordinate with payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, trade unions, and internal teams to ensure compliant offboarding.
  • Draft and administer termination documentation while maintaining accurate, confidential employee records.
  • Process offboarding activities in Remote’s HRIS and coordinate all related operational requirements.
  • Assess workplace concerns, identify applicable regulations, and guide clients on employee relations and progressive discipline matters.
  • Track employee relations cases and serve as a subject-matter expert for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior team members and act as an informal escalation point for complex cases.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, product development, and enhanced customer and employee experiences.

Requirements

  • Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner with generalist HR expertise across the employee lifecycle.
  • Strong experience independently managing voluntary and involuntary terminations with sensitivity and legal compliance.
  • Experience advising on employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Understanding of employee relations, progressive discipline, and workplace investigation fundamentals.
  • Ability to interpret industrial instruments, research complex HR issues, and develop practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, conflict management, negotiation, and difficult-conversation skills.
  • Advanced written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to identify and implement process automation and operational improvements.
  • Strong record-keeping and data-integrity practices, with proficiency using HR technology and asynchronous collaboration tools.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, international, fully remote environment while managing competing priorities; flexible hours may be required.
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, labour relations, or employment law are preferred.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, accountable, and able to inspire and mentor others.
