Description

  • Develop and execute a people strategy aligned with organizational goals and culture.
  • Advise the VP of Finance and senior leadership on HR matters.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, budgeting, reporting, reconciliations, and vendor relationships.
  • Lead and support the in-house Talent Acquisition Specialist and oversee recruiting operations, including sourcing, ATS management, and offer processes.
  • Partner with hiring managers and leadership on role requirements, compensation ranges, timelines, workforce planning, and headcount forecasting.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, terminations, and manager coaching.
  • Oversee performance management programs, including review cycles, goal setting, stay interviews, and exit interviews.
  • Administer benefits programs and manage open enrollment, vendor relationships, and compliance with leave and benefits regulations.
  • Maintain HR operations, including employee records, HRIS data, compliance filings, HR metrics, dashboards, workflows, and SOPs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5–8+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or overseeing payroll processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and Title VII.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and payroll systems.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive employee relations matters with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in a startup or high-growth environment, with comfort building HR infrastructure from the ground up, preferred.
  • Healthcare industry experience with familiarity with compliance considerations such as HIPAA, preferred.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification, preferred.
  • Experience managing a recruiting function or supervising a Talent Acquisition Specialist, preferred.
  • Experience with compensation benchmarking and total rewards strategy, preferred.
